Adrian Diaconu vs. Jean Pascal Vegas Odds: An all Canadian battle will take place this Friday Night on Versus network when Adrian Diaconu defends his W.B.C title against Jean Pascal. Pascal, 22-1, 15 KO’s, will be moving up from Super-Middleweight to take on a big puncher in Diaconu, 26-0, 15 KO’s, who is a natural Light-Heavyweight. This intriguing match-up should provide some fireworks with both of these fighters ability to explode with punches. Jean Pascal is a fast-twitch athlete with laser reflexes and unnatural hand-eye coordination. Pascal however is more athlete than he is prizefighter. Adrian Diaconu is a hard-nosed banger that like to press the attack and grind down his opponents.  Diaconu was a world-class amateur and has very sound boxing technique. Powerfully built, Diaconu is durable and heavy-handed.  Adrian likes to break his opponents down with hard body shots and a venomous left hook that has KO power. Diaconu is an excellent inside fighter that throws rapid-fire combinations with excellent velocity. Diaconu does put a lot of effort into his punches however and his power is diminished late in bouts.

Pascal is the better athlete but Diaconu is the better boxer. Diaconu is better technically, throws more punches and has the better chin. This should be a very exciting fight to watch, but in the end Diaconu will be the toast of Quebec.
