With less than :30 seconds left in the opening round a quick straight right to the chin from Speedy buckled Lock’s knees. In the 7th Gonzales battered Lock with a two fisted assault that Lock had no response for as he was out of gas as he covered up against the Gonzales onslaught. Lock showed his heart by staying on his feet and coming back with a high powered straight left hand that snapped Gonzales’s head horizontally but didn’t drop the Mexican.

In the 9th round Lock turned the tide back in his favor as he began to abuse the smaller Speedy in the corners with huge right hooks and uppercuts that had Gonzales defensive. In the 10th round both of these warriors engaged each other in the middle of the ring with the fight up for grabs.
