The young but extremely explosive 2012 Detroit Lions are built to make a run at the Lombardi Trophy with young gunner Matthew Stafford and the unstoppable Calvin Johnson. NFL Picks Analysis: The Matthew Stafford to Calvin Johnson give the Lions the ability to score on anybody. The running game is led by 2nd year 233 Lb. Mikel Leshoure who could face disciplinary action but has nice upside if he can stay on the field. The O-line is shaky and can be exposed but Stafford hangs tough in the pocket and is a top-10 NFL QB. The defense has a bully like D-line and swarms to the football but gives up too many big plays. The secondary will get a big boost with Louis Delmas back on the field. This is a young playmaking defense that could exceed expectations.
