This week on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights the agressive lightweight “Hammerin” Hank Lundy will featured against Raymundo Beltran in a 10-round bout from Atlantic City, New Jersey. The Philly contender Lundy, 22-1-1, 11 KO’s, is a gritty customer and the bookmakers have him instilled as a 6-1 sports odds Vegas favorite over the top-30 contender Beltran, 25-6, 17 KO’s. Raymundo Beltran, 31, was a chief sparring partner of Manny Pacquiao but was bested by an undefeated prospect nearly 8 months ago. Fight Picks Analysis: The once beaten Lundy is far from unbeatable but he is a damn good Philly fighter that is tough to bet against. Lundy is in his prime and Beltran’s last win came against an opponent 11-21 in late 2011. That sort of inactivity has to make you wonder exactly where Beltran’s focus is at. On the other end Lundy can do a little bit of everything. “Hammerin” Hank can bust you up with body shots on the inside, he can sit back and counter or he can be a slick switch-hitting boxer. Beltran is a skilled fighter that throws lots of leather but Lundy should be able to outbox him outside. The Lundy vs Beltran Odds have Hank Lundy as a -700 on the moneyline.
Beltran is going to make this a rougher fight than the Sports Odds Vegas have on Lundy at -1200 moneyline but “Hammerin” Hank should win convincingly. Lundy is making his seventh consecutive appearance on ESPN2 Boxing and he will have some fan support from the Jersey crowd if the fight does go to the cards.
