Which one of these future Hall-Of-Famers will place themselves among boxing’s immortals? Our handicapping sharps broke down the legends. Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao Vegas Odds have Pacquiao as a +195 underdog (Bet $100 to win $195 ) at BOVADA.LV

About Floyd Mayweather Jr. – Boxer: Mayweather stands a shade under 5’8″ but has grown into a solid, long armed (72″ reach) welterweight through weight training. Floyd doesn’t put on much weight after his weigh-in and never weighs more than 152 Lbs. on fight night. Floyd can fight at any distance and has perfect timing because of his alien like amount of sparring. Mayweather is not a big puncher but he is a physical fighter with a mean streak that knows how to finish a hurt foe. Athletically, Mayweather might be a few years removed from his prime with questionable foot-speed but his blinding hand-speed remains. Defensively “Money” is a magician that rarely gets caught with two punches in a row. Mayweather has all of the defensive tools but his real gift is his anticipation of the other man’s next move. On the downside, Floyd has brittle hands, rarely throws in combination and at 37-years old his reflexes have dimmed slightly. Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao Vegas Odds give Pacquiao a 33% chance of winning

About Manny Pacquiao – Boxer: The Pac-Man is a small, short (5’6″) and short-armed (67″ reach)  welterweight with tree-trunk legs atop a lithe upper-body. Pac-Man has shrunk since firing his strength coach Alex Ariza and now is more of a Jr. welterweight than true 147 Lb. pug. The southpaw throws punches from start to finish at a nice clip but the Filipino’s once Superman-like stamina has dimmed at 35-years old. Pacquiao can still throw heat with good power from the left-side but he weighs only 145 Lbs. at most on fight night. Pacquiao’s real gift are his powerful legs that help him manipulate distance and launch punches from unusual angles. Pacquiao loads up punches occasionally and has questionable balance but his ability to set up huge bombs with his jab is impressive. Pacquiao’s best defense is his buzzsaw offense but under trainer Freddie Roach he has developed in a pretty slick fighter. Pacquiao is durable but his one-punch loss KO to Marquez is proof that his chin is not made of granite. Pacquiao is susceptible to cuts and can get caught with huge counterpunches because of the way he leaps into punches.

Bottom Line: If you like playing underdogs the puncher Pacquiao is worth a tickle at a bloated +195 price but Mayweather should squeak out a win on the scorecards. Mayweather is going to play the role of matador and control Pacquiao’s rushes with his boxing science. Mayweather is bigger, faster and better defensively. Pacquaio has a hole for uppercuts and “Money” will use the punch to his advantage. Bet Mayweather to win a razor close decision.
