The Miami Dolphins 2012 Superbowl Odds have them listed curiously low at 50-1 despite being among the worst teams in the league on paper going into the season. The Dolphins finished a paltry 6-10 last season and have a new head coach in relatively unknown Joe Philbin. The former Packers offensive coordinator Philbin has been shown living in his office in NFL Network ads and with his current roster he better be. Our NFL Picks experts handicapped the Reggie Bush led Miami Dolphins with an in-depth 1-10 scale rating system heading into week one. The Miami Dolphins 2012 Superbowl Odds have Miami at 50-1 at BOVADA CASINO and SPORTSBOOK
NFL Picks Analysis: Expect more or less the same as last year with the offensively limited Dolphins being competitive losers. Miami shouldn’t be bet heavy except for in spots as huge underdogs because of their front seven on defense and above average running game. Chad Ocho Cinco improves a void at WR but Brandon Marshall was the Dolphins best player and he is now in Denver. Reggie Bush had a breakout season but has been injury prone in the past and a repeat of last year’s running numbers would be a surprise. The Miami Dolphins are at 20-1 on the Sports Odds Vegas to win the AFC Title at BOVADA CASINO and SPORTSBOOK
Most 2012 NFL Predictions sharps have Miami doing worse than last year but an aggressive defense and possible surprise season from veteran QB David Garrard (23 TD in 2010) should keep Miami in the 6-10 to 7-9 range. Head Coach Joe Philbin’s system is tailor made for rookie 1st round QB Ryan Tannehill but the former WR Tannehill is still green. The three QB’s will battle it out in camp but Garrard is probably a better option than last year’s starter Matt Moore because of his playmaking ability. Not to be overlooked from a handicappimg angle is defensive star LB Cameron Wake who creates havoc as a pass-rusher and an excellent special teams unit that can also help cover the spread.
